I am a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist through California’s Board of Behavioral Sciences.  I have an eclectic theoretical orientation primarily comprised of family systems, solution-focused, & cognitive/behavioral approaches.  I earned my Masters degree in Counseling emphasizing multicultural competency from San Diego State University & a Bachelors degree in Psychology / Social Behavior from University of California, Irvine.  I also trained at Orange County’s Human Relations Commission as a community mediator & at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) as a group interventionist.  I have counseled a variety of populations and cultures.
I am a personable, interactive, & compassionate therapist whose approach is to provide support & practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges.  Therapy is a collaborative process designed to bring about relief. I work with each individual & relationship to help them build on their strengths & attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing. I have worked in higher education for 21 years advising students within a variety of different contexts, emphasizing interpersonal, team & inter-group relations. I'm a member of California Association of Marriage Family Therapists.
